‘The Last Stand’s producer Lorenzo Di Bonaventura explained why he entrust directing to Kim Jee-woon.
Di Bonaventura is considered Hollywood’s good producer that has been involved in the ‘Transformers’ series, including a worldwide blockbuster.
Lorenzo Di Bonaventura said “He has a very impressive artwork, and I feel diversity whenever I see his movie” and “He well knows how to make action movie, how to make comedy, how to make drama. He is well lead to those elements.”
Director Kim Jee-woon’s Hollywood debut “The Last Stand” is that a round confrontation of Sheriff Owens in sleepy border town Sommerton and the leader of a drug cartel busts. In Korean, it will be released on February 21.
영화 ‘라스트 스탠드’의 제작자인 로렌조 디 보나벤추라가 김지운 감독에게 연출을 맡긴 이유를 밝혔다.
할리우드의 명제작자로 꼽히는 디 보나벤추라는 ‘트랜스포머’ 시리즈를 비롯한 전 세계적인 흥행작의 제작에 참여해왔다.
로렌조 디보나벤추라는 “그는 정말 인상적인 작품을 가지고 있고, 그의 영화들을 볼때면 다양성을 보게된다”며 “그는 액션 영화를 어떻게 찍어야 하는지, 코미디를 어떻게 찍어야 하는지, 드라마를 어떻게 찍어야 하는지 잘 알고 있다. 그런 요소들을 잘 이끌어낸다” 고 말했다.
김지운 감독의 할리우드 진출작 <라스트 스탠드>는 조용한 국경마을 섬머튼의 보안관 오웬과 마약왕 코르테즈의 한 판 대결을 다룬다. 한국에서는 2월 21에 개봉한다.
